Mrs. Barnhill is beginning her 12th year of teaching at BCHS. She holds a bachelors and masters degree from the University of Kentucky in Vocal Music Education. She served as artistic director of the Northern Kentucky Children's Ensemble from 2013-2019. In the summer of 2019, Mrs. Barnhill served as director and founder of the Anchor Music Academy in Erlanger, Ky- a program offering free music lessons to students facing financial hardships.
